The Practitioners.

Specialists who understand what a performing body, and a performing voice, are actually asked to do.

Every practitioner in this directory works with performers directly, not adjacently. Each listing is built from their own words: qualifications, real production and clinical credentials, and how to reach them. This is the beginning of the directory, not the whole of it.

Physiotherapy — Performing Arts

Bronwyn Claassen

Physiotherapist · 30+ Years in the Performing Arts

Bronwyn Claassen has spent more than three decades helping performers move well, recover with confidence, and build careers that last. Her practice sits at the intersection of clinical physiotherapy and a lifelong life in dance, she trained first as a dancer, then as a physiotherapist, and has treated performing bodies through that dual lens ever since.

She has worked as company physiotherapist for some of the biggest musical theatre productions to tour Australia, including CATS, King Kong Live on Stage, Hamilton, Disney's Beauty and the Beast and The Lion King, alongside international work with Cirque du Soleil and The House of Dancing Water. As a senior physiotherapist at Performance Medicine, she provided both in-theatre and clinic-based care across major touring productions.

Bronwyn's approach draws on a wide range of technique, muscle energy techniques, Connect Therapy©, sports physiotherapy, vocal physiotherapy, dry needling and Clinical Pilates, in service of a broader goal: helping performers understand their own bodies well enough to manage injury, move confidently, and perform at their best.

Grace graduated with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy (Honours) from the University of Queensland in 2015. In 2018 she moved to the UK to follow her passion for providing exceptional physiotherapy care to performers, going on to work as physiotherapist for touring musical theatre companies, film, and shows on the West End.

Oscar Bridges

Nutrition Counsellor · Founder, Ate Shows A Week

Oscar Bridges is a qualified Nutrition Counsellor and professional musical theatre performer. Since graduating high school in 2023 he has worked consistently throughout the Australian musical theatre industry, and is currently on tour while building his business.

An Adelaide-born performer who has spent much of his adult life on the road, Oscar understands the unique challenges of cooking on tour while performing eight shows a week. Alongside a passion for food and cooking, that firsthand experience inspired Ate Shows A Week, a nutrition coaching service dedicated to helping performers and touring professionals eat, feel and perform their best.

Performers are athletes, and it matters to treat the body like one. With that in mind, Oscar works with people looking to improve gut health, energy, endurance, wellbeing, their relationship with food and routine, or simply the way they shop and cook on tour.
